The following article, Biden Regime is Desperately Trying to Stop China From Supporting Russia’s War in Ukraine, was first published on Big League Politics.

The United States government has been calling on Ukraine’s allies and western businesses to halt supplies for Russia’s defense industry via China. The East Asian giant is perceived as the primary foreign engine of Russia’s war machine.

In a speech delivered to German business leaders in Berlin on May 31, 2024, US deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo will call on western companies to halt Russia’s importation of critical industrial inputs from or through China.

The US has threatened to impose secondary sanctions on Chinese companies alleged to have supplied Russia’s defense industry.

Per excerpts shared with the Financial Times, Adeyemo will say the US and Europe “must make the choice stark for China: Chinese firms can either do business in our economies or they can equip Russia’s war machine with dual-use goods. They cannot do both.”

“The Kremlin knows it can only meet its military goals with China’s assistance,” Adeyemo stated.

“Every country in our coalition and every member of Nato must also consistently and clearly communicate to Beijing that it is unacceptable for the Chinese to abet the Russian military-industrial base.”

The Russians increased their imports of critical, dual-use goods — civilian goods that can be repurposed for military uses — from China-based suppliers by 40 per cent last year, per US figures.

China accounts for nearly two-thirds of Russia’s imports of dual-use high-technology goods. Curiously, nearly all of the imported inputs used in Russian armaments come from the West.

No matter how hard the US tries, it will not be able to disrupt the China-Russia alliance. The belligerent policies the US has pursues against both countries since the end of the Cold War — color revolution attempts, sanction, providing military aid to their respective rivals, etc. — has made such a pact inevitable.

And if US officials think they will be able to play off Russia and China against each other like they did in the latter decades of the Cold War, they’re in for a rude awakening. The US in the 21st century is a decadent force run by an incompetent ruling class that is increasingly mocked on the world stage.

At the rate things are going, most serious countries will not want to associate with the US and its satrapies.
